I decided to do an easy run during my lunch break today. While the weather looked rather bleak, the temperatures were perfect for a run, so I put on a wind breaker and took off. I managed to get six and a half miles in at an average pace of just over 8 minutes per mile.

My legs have been feeling great and even though I've increased my mileage to a higher level than usual, I've been making sure that I do not do tough workouts back to back. Instead, I've increased mileage by doing easy shorter runs on what used to be my off or cross training days. I am eager to get properly prepared for the Fuego y Agua 100K next month as well as maybe the Double Top 100 miler on the heels of the 100K. That means I need to crank up my mileage and hill training without risking over training and injury. So far, so good;-)
