On the menu for today was a slow 9 miler. I wouldn't call 8:00-8:30 pace slow, but who am I to disagree with my training schedule. After all, it's geared towards getting me ready for a sub 3:15 marathon. Today, I actually managed to maintain the target pace, but it wasn't easy. I guess training isn't supposed to be easy anyway, so this was definitely a successful session from that perspective.

The temps were pretty high again along with the humidity. I left my house at 5:30PM just after coming home from the office to run the usual UAH loop. These last few weeks have been tough on my body. There really have not been any easy runs. That doesn't mean I didn't enjoy my workouts, it just means training's been tough since I've come back from the Desert RATS race in June. Hopefully, tomorrow's workout won't feel too laborous. I kinda look forward to getting back into a serious workout rhythm.
